So beautiful and innocent, she had no boobs to expose nore did she have booty at her young age, she still wasn’t spared.

Her case and many others got me thinking and i came up with this story.

TO THE TEENAGER

live a teenage without regrets

You are going to be 17 only for 365 days and you could die at 18 or 19. When your dad asks if you can help him with house work, say yes. When you get an opportunity to sleep in mom’s bed, do it because one day she will be in the hospital bed and there won’t be enough room to make up for those days you refused sleeping in her bed. Stop cancelling plans; go out there and use your legs while they can walk. Stop denying affection. You will never be able to love someone as a TEENAGER at 35 or 40. Many people are going to tell you they love you, don’t keep quiet because you have been told it’s too soon. If you love them, say so. Be brutally, beautifully/handsomely HONEST. Use the opportunities you have now to make someone smile, bless a life or two and stop trying to impress people with your looks because in 50 years, no one will remember the dress you wore or the shoe you are wearing now but someone will look back and say I remember this man made me smile even in my pains; this woman made me hope when all hope was lost. Go out and CHANGE the world; fight for PEACE,EQUALITY &CHANGE, so that when you are 70 and can only watch the news all day, you won’t see the same issues still going on while you had the chance to fight it. Stop romanticizing the {I don’t need anybody”, “I don’t have feelings”, “I am not the type of girl who just falls in love” “he/she’s not my class”, “He/she’s not from where i wish to find love”, ” I’m too busy with life to care about love“…  }attitude because it’s easier to make friends in high school and university than on retirement at home. Embrace feelings and intimacy; don’t apologies for caring and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for caring even if it’s one sided. YOU ARE ONLY A TEENAGER FOR 2,555 DAYS and then you are 20 and starts having responsibilities, no time to love, no time to play around, work and marriage is all you think about. Life never slows down; bones become fragile and break, people die, and hearts become weak… So, what are you waiting for? Go on, message him or her. Tell her how you feel, she might snob you, he might laugh at you but after some years, you won’t regret not telling him. You won’t regret not being man enough to express yourself.

This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.

-Tyler Durden (Fight Club)

What are you doing to make it worth smiling on thought?
Remember birthdays are only a reminder that you’ve been arround for a while and your time has been reduced by 365days. You are not a year closer to tge grve than yesterday.

WITH EVERY ATOM OF YOUR BODY, LIVE RIGHT, LIVE SMART.·

  LOVE YOURSELF FIRST·

DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND FOLLOW YOUR PASSIONS·

AVOID EXCESSIVE DRINKING·

DO NOT SMOKE·

STAY AWAY FROM HARD DRUGS·

DO GOOD AND LOOK FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO DO GOOD·

How to Get Over Your Heartbreaks in no Time

The pain is unbearable

Heartbreak is a feeling of great sadness or disappointment; the most horrible feeling there is for everyone which if not well managed might lead to depression or even one’s Death(suicide). Many people experience heartbreaks very early in their teen ages.
I imagine what they go through when they get their hearts broken as most of them secretly get into such relationships…

When your heart is broken, it can feels like the end of the world. It feels like a hole has been drilled through your heart and the pain flows through your whole body like water from a shower. No amount of pain has ever felt that agonising and worst of it, Heartbreaks hurt in slow motion.
You may cry, scream, break things, starve yourself and avoid people but the pain would still be there.

I can boldly tell you that many people would prefer to be smacked in the face with a steel bar than to get their heart broken. The thing is, heartbreaks are really bad for your health, it affect you in the following ways:
~your brain thinks you are hurt physically making your whole body to hurt
~lots of stress hormones are released which makes you feel stressed out says Women’s Health Magazine
~you either gain weight or lose weight as some people chose to deal with their heartbreaks by either over eating or not eating at all.
 ~you will be depressed.

According to Science, love is the most addictive feeling and when one is cut off, the body needs to rearrange itself.
In order to make it easier:

1.Pray. When you just can’t handle a situation, remember there’s an invisible man up there who knows how to go just about everything. You may not be someone who prays, but just give Him a try, he listens.

2.Be sad for a while. it’s ok to mourn for your lost. However, remember somethings are out of our control but don’t give up on yourself , keep moving forward in a bit to become the happy teenager you used to be.

3.Cut off all contacts. Don’t text him/her, don’t call or receive their calls. I would say, block him/her.

4.Dont stay friends. He/she might propose that you guys remain friends after your breakup, but that’s not a good idea. You can just tell him/her that you will think about it to prevent pressure.

5.Go out with Friends. It’s ok to avoid people for a while but don’t let longing for past memories stop you from creating different ones for the future.

6.Avoid posting it on social media. Deal with your problems privately and stop making it public,  someone might say something that would hurt you even more.

7.Don’t talk about it. If you really want to get over it,  avoid talking about it. That way, you can easily forget it.

8.Stop blaming yourself: Even if it’s your fault that you got heart broken, you should take yourself as a human who is bound to make mistakes. Learn from the mistakes and live on.

I hope you get over it soon, life’s too short to waste it crying over someone who isn’t even thinking about you. Shoe him/her that you can live without his wining, you are strong, you are able, you are attractive enough to meet another who will cherish you for who you are.

Before getting into relationships; what you should know.

Relationships can be cute and fun filled but at the same time hurtful and demands a lot of time, tolerance and sacrifices.
It’s not something to just rush into because your friends are. The after maths of a broken  relationship on teenagers, are not pleasing at all.
That said, before getting into a relationship,  you have to do a lot of thinking about what you are signing up for.

Here are some things about relationships you would want to know before jumping into one.

1. Know your motive. Relationships are not a play ground or laboratories for experiments.  think because your friend has a partner (boyfriend or girlfriend you should have one, because his or her partner is reach doesn’t mean you should look for a rich boy of girl too.  If you don’t love someone, don’t get into a relationship with him or her.
2. Know what love is. As mentioned earlier,  some people don’t get into relationships because they love each other. Some do for sex, money,  popularity, power and even fear. You should know what love is and the price of love. And if you don’t know,  just hold on!.

3. Its going to hurt. There’s never going to be a union between two individuals that won’t bring fights. So have it at the back of your mind that it’s not going to be milk and honey all the way.  You will argue,  disagree and might even break up at the end of the day.

4. Its not fantasy. To those who still live in the fantasy world, come back to the real world where there’s no kissing in the rain(unless you went to the farm together).
And in Africa,  no road trips(you might not even have a car), no wood camping,  no after school Partying(together)
It’s not going to be like in the movies where everytime is happy.  Wake up!!!
5. You have to sacrifice.one thing about relatioenships is,  you have to sacrifice one thing or the other,  be it your time,  money,  energy… just to keep up with your partner and to make them happy. Sharing everything you have and not being selfish is what keeps a relationship going. You might have to share even your liver.

6. Its supposed to last. Know that real relationships are not a trial and error kind of thing. Accepting it means you have to stay long or you will be getting your heart and other’s hearts broken now and then. You will have to stick to one partner and not jumping from one partner to the other like a monkey on trees.

7. No one is Perfect. Don’t have unrealistic expectations from a relationship. Your partner has a life and so is not going to always be there for you. He or she is not an angel so don’t expect him or her to be flawless. You partner will react and sometimes over react because he is human.

  8. Friends. Know that your partner will have friends of the opposite sex and at times will have to make time for them while you wait.

9. Sex Premarital sex can and will destroy your life. No matter how careful you will be, one day you’ll make a mistake which will tie you down in regrets and pain. To avoid unwanted pregnancies, avoid unnecessary sex, you wimtw die if you don’t; if that were the case then for the past years you won’t have survived.

THE WORLD AT PUBERTY

credit SciTechDaily images

A lot of people including myself waited and even started this year 2020 with a lot of new year resolutions with hyper preparations to make 2020 our year of great turn overs but just when things started to look interesting, the tables were turned, dashing most, if not all of our dreams and hopes to the ground. With my numerous goals made close to impossible to archive, I took time off to really take a good look at the cause of all the mishaps round the world; a lot of things caught my attention of which I will talk about just a few here. Looking at the modifications in the pattern of each and every human being’s life with exceptions to those who claimed to be super humans until they were brought down. Virus, outbreak, spreads, quarantine, social distancing, death and recoveries. All of these got me thinking; could the world be at Puberty?

Now, what is puberty? The advance Oxford dictionary puts it this way;

puberty

n   noun the period during which adolescents reach sexual maturity and become capable of reproduction.

Now let’s not think about reproduction because I don’t think there’s a female or male planet out there for our beloved mother earth. The most striking word I got in this definition of Puberty is period, and a period is the time taken for a certain process to be completed. While growing up, we notice a number of irregularities but as long as i can remember, my transition from an adolescent to a teenager was crazy weird and the most disturbing part of it was, it didn’t stop, no matter how much I tried to stop or prevent those transformations. Relating this to the prevailing pandemic, seeing all the irregularities, the fear and confusion that has swept through hearts and minds, I say the world is at puberty; the world is about to get to the next stage of its existence (whatever it might be) If Mas could talk we would ask her what is coming next but since we have no idea how to communicate with Mas, you just have to wave at each other and say All is well.

At puberty, the adolescent knows not what is happening but the undisputable truth is that, whatever changes taking place will be around for a very very long time. It is never clear why we have hairs growing places, but it is always certain that the hair will be around for a long time if not forever. As an adolescent, the whole world is confused but the bottom line is, life will never be the same again ever. At the end of this stage, there are only two possible outcomes which are: Good and Bad, which will coexist and interchange from time to time, depending on the who, the where and the why.

In every situation, there are always those who make profit out of it; in wars, arms dealers become richer than farmers, during lock-downs like those in 2020, E-commerce entrepreneurs get more profits. After this, the rich may continue being richer and the poor poorer, or the rich poorer and the poor richer, but as the book of the law (Bible) says, …time and chance happens to it all. We all have the chance now to make our future better than our past and we also are open to opportunities which can help ruin our future. 2020 will always and forever be remembered for shaping our attitudes and behavior toward ourselves, family, friends and our environment.

thank you for taking time to go through my thoughts. this might not be accurate or real, after all, they are just thoughts.

We Fail

When you fail, it’s an indication that, you need to learn more.

Failure is the inability to Archive laid down goals or objectives, be it in exams, relationships or business.

No matter how much we try we always fail but sometimes, we don’t fail because we are lazy or weak but because we need a maximum time to properly acquire the requisite amount of knowledge about the course or individual. Failure is to me a necessary catalyst for a reaction to produce success as an end product.

Even though painful, Failure is supposed to be okay not withstanding the situation. Whether you worked hard or didn’t work at all, Failure is an indication that, something (s) is still to be understood or learned.

Naturally, there’s a given time for specific things to be fully understood. It can be an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year and the time is also relative to the the understanding ability and speed of the person undertaking the course. This means that, what i understand in an hour, it can take another a day and another a month to understand and if a person is tested before he or she has fully understood the course, failure will be inevitable and there’s nothing wrong with it.

You don’t have to hurt yourself, those around you or both yourself and those around you because you failed. Sometimes we fail not because we didn’t understand what we were being tested on, but because we make Silly mistakes which is still okay. Time can’t be changed. Accepting our failure and correcting our mistakes is the best response to failure which will lead to success. When you fail once, learn More, and more and more until you succeed.

Success gives happiness but failure gives experience which leads to success but do not intentionally fail for experience because, you will meet your doom!.

THROWBACK: South Africa’s Xenophobic History

At a time in 2019, #Xenophobia was headlining the news and social media platforms. Some people talked about it without an idea of what the word meant. In this article, I won’t just be defining Xenophobia as a word but i will also give you a brief history of Xenophobia sitting other countries but focusing more on South Africa since she’s the reason we are talking about this anyways.

Cambridge Advance learner’s Dictionary defines Xenophobia as “An EXTREME dislike or fear of foreigners, their customs, their religion, etc”
Someone who Shows or expresses Xenophobic Behavior is called a Xenophobe.
The word Xenophobia originates from two Greek words “Xenos”, meaning “Stranger” and “Phobos”, meaning “Fear”. So it can simply be put as “Stranger fear” or “Fear of Stranger”

In the context of the last manifestation in South Africa, I would love to define it as Andreas Wimmer’s Who said, “Xenophobia is a political struggle about who has the right to be cared for by the state and society; a fight for the collective good of the modern state”.

History
Xenophobia has been around for quite a long time being manifested in different ways like Racism, Racial democracy, travel bands, you can name the rest..
Coming back to South Africa, the country have had a long ride with Xenophobic attacks dating back to the 1980s.

Beginning from 1984 to the end of hostilities in Mozambique, at least 50,000 to 350,000 Mozambicans fled to South Africa but were refused to be granted refugee status. At that time, Lebowas banned them but they were welcomed by Gazankulus where they settled. From 1993 to 1997, a large number of Congolese refugees fled civil war to south Africa, and there, they were denied access to primary Health care.

  • In 1998 a Mozambican and two Senegalese were thrown off a train.
  • In 2000, 7 foreigners were killed on the Cape flats within five weeks.
  • October 2001, Zimbabweans were forcibly evicted out of the Zanspriut informal settlement with their properties looted and destroyed after failing to obey their  10 days evacuation notice. No injuries were recorded.
  • In the last week of 2005 and the first week of 2006, at least 4 people including 2 Zimbabweans were killed in the Olievenhoutbosh settlement, blamed for the dead of a local man. In the event, shacks and belongings of foreigners were burnt.
  • July 2006 saw the death of 21 Somali traders and 26 more in August that same year.
  • Attacks continued in late 2007.
  • On 8th January 2008, 2 Somali shop owners were murdered in Eastern Cape
  •   In March 2008, 7 foreigners were killed including Zimbabweans, Pakistanis and Somalis and their shops and shacks set alight in Atteridgevielle.
  •  In May 2008, riots in Gauteng, Durban and Mpumalanga
  • Left 62 people dead, several hundred injures and the destruction of immigrants owned properties.
  • In May 2009, the city of  said they would apply for eviction order to force the 461 refugees to leave two refugee camps in that city.  On May 21st then president Thabo Mbeki approved a request from the SAPS for the deployment of armed forces to stop attacks in Gauteng for the first time since the end of Apartheid (early 1990s).
  • In November 2009, a community of at least 1500 to 2500 Zimbabwean farm workers were forcibly evicted in the Western Cape, homes trashed and their properties looted with none hurt.
  • In July 2012, there were new attacks in part of Cape Town and Botshabelo
  • On the 30th of May 2013, a 25-years-old Abdi Nasir Mahmoud Good was stoned to death and 3 Somali shopkeepers killed later in June of that year.
  • On the 7th of June 2014, a Somali in his 50s was stoned to death and two others seriously injured. Later that Saturday evening, 3 more Somalis were wounded from gun shots and their shops looted.
  • On the 18th of April 2015, a Mozambican by name Emmanuel Sithole was attacked in broad daylight and he later died from his wounds. 7 more deaths were recorded that month.
  • October 2015, more than 500 people were displaced and 300 homes and shops looted and in some cases destroyed. On the 21st of October, taxi drivers attacked Spaza shops owned by Pakistanis, Bangladeshi, and Ethiopians residents of Grahamstown.
  •   February 24th 2017, protesters matched to the foreign Minister’s office with a petition accusing immigrants of taking their jobs, increasing crimes and being rude especially the Nigerians.
  • On the 25th of March 2019, Durban Saw another  Xenophobic attack leaving 3 people death.
  • On the 1st of September 2019, a taxi driver was killed which lead to riots and looting of foreign owned shops. By the 3rd, about 50 businesses mostly owned by immigrants from other parts of Africa were destroyed or damaged and all these coincided with a nation wide truck driver’s strike against the employment of non South Africans. South African Small Business Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu said that foreign business owners cannot expect to co-exist peacefully with local business owners unless they share their trade secrets. According to Zulu, foreign business owners had an advantage over South African business owners due to marginalisation under apartheid. “They cannot barricade themselves in and not share their practices with local business owners,” Zulu said The comments were met with widespread criticism.

we all are africans, why not treat one another like brothers should? AFRICA will never grow if Africans fail to learn to live together, tolerating the weakness and flaws of others.

The Teenager; How to tackle multiple relationship proposals

Relationships can be very demanding

I was asked by one of my readers, to write something on how to tackle multiple relationship requests and I think that’s a problem to many teenagers. “After approaching and talking to me nicely, I got home and though I was not planning on accepting his request, I couldn’t study because his voice kept replaying in my head” says Sonia.
That’s the struggle many of our girls especially the teenage girls go through days and nights. It greatly affects the teenagers the most because they are just developing and the teenage is associated with poor decision making and uncertainty, living them confused most of  the time on what to do next.
These struggles affects mostly the teenage girls ranging from their behaviors at home to their performances in school, as many will drop from topping the class to barely grabbing a passed and in some cases even failing at the end of the day

In order to help you tackle these relationship issues,  I brought up 8 points which has worked for many.
1). Know what you want. For teenagers you will have to chose between making your family proud and being in a relationship with a rich, handsome or famous guy.  Mind you, both of the options are going to affect your life either positively or negatively.  Be wise!
2). know what love is. Most of the times these little girls mistake adventures for love.  Because you want to be given money, little gifts and be seen by your friends as a classic girl, you convince yourself to be inlove.

3). Learn to ignore. Not every attention seeker necessarily have to get your attention. Being available for everyone makes you cheap and multiplies your trouble. If you happen to have given out your number or your number is gotten by any means,  learn to ignore or better still Block.  Same goes to social media.
4). Giving out Contacts. Not everyone deserves to get your phone number or any contact. Tell your friends not to give out your contact without your permission.  This prevents unwanted messages and calls.
5). Be firm on your Decisions. When you say no to someone, mean it and let your facial expression and tone show that you are serious. Learn not to talk like you are confused and say “NO” at the spot,  not “I will think about it”. Thinking about something you don’t want is already a gate way of counter thoughts.
6). Mind the way you dress. It’s often said you would be addressed the way you dress. If you don’t dress decently,  don’t expect the street boys to let you be. Be decent and avoid passing by a group of boys.
7). Friends. M
ind the kind of friends you keep around you. Friends can push you into doing things that won’t take you anywhere. Not everything Should you tell your friends.

8). Chose your words. When talking, especially with those who seem to persist and are bold, don’t sound too soft and nice. You are suffering violence and the violence must be taken by force. You know what you want and what you want should not be changed by someone who will leave you after few months or weeks if not days.

The struggle for power which hurts

War is a state of Armed conflict between states, governments, societies and informal paramilitary groups such as mercenaries, insurgents, and militias.

Africa being the 2nd largest continent on the planet, have had it’s on share of the armed conflicts currently rocking the world. For as long as we can remember, African countries have been involved in armed conflicts with the most renowned being those in: Ethiopia, Somalia, sudan, Nigeria and the most recent Central Africa Republic.

Africa have been a victim of wars that didn’t concern her like the first and second world war.

Even in the 21st century, Africans still tend to pick up arms in order to bring changes…

Most of the conflicts that arises from one country to another killing Africa starts with bad Governance with presidents of some African countries ruling for decades as the case of the most recent Armed conflict called “AMBAZONIAN STRUGGLE” in Southwest and Nothwestern part of Cameroon(2016-present). List of conflicts in Africa

Ongoing conflicts in Africa: Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Somalia, Uganda, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Western Sahara, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad and Cameroon.

Africa currently have more internal armed conflicts than every other Continent and this is as a result of Corrupt government, and manipulation from the Western world.

Studies show that about 5Million children have been killed in the last 20years. War have hampered Africa’s development and Africa lost about $18 Billion Every year to war,

Summing up to about $522 billion from 1990 till 2019.

Road and Bridges are destroyed in Gorila wars, schools, hospitals, markets and government offices are brought down which might take decades to rebuild after the war.

From the numerous effects of war on Africa, here are a few:

  • Lost of lifes.
  • Sexual violation
  • Recruitments of Child soldiers
  • Poor Health and sanitation
  • Violation of Human rights
  • Migration
  • Rise in illitracy
  • Fall of Economy
  • No development

War is never a Solution to a Problem.

Before picking up arms, think of the African teenagers.

what type of life do you want for them??

Why inflict ourselves with so much pain of when we can talk it out???

THE CORONAVIRUS: 5 Reasons Why it Will be Difficult to Contain the Virus in Africa

Is Africa ready for the fight?

The COVID_19 (Coronavirus) from Wuhan China has found its way to every single continent on the planet, with Africa being one of the last if not the last for the virus to reach and will have a lot of
problems containing this outbreak. Below, I will be pointing out why I think it will be difficult for African countries with the COVID_19 out break to contain.
The African governments are known have in the past years always not told the population the
truth about number of affected people be it in a genocide, road or rail accident nor natural disasters
like flood and landslides so it’s going to be very difficult for the government to convince her citizens
of the presence of the virus and the number of infected persons. Last week there was a rumour on
social media about the UN spokesperson saying there might not be any cases of the dreaded
COVID_19 as the governments may want to use that as an advantage to get loans. When the first
two cases were discovered in many countries, many I didn’t believe it because the government has
not been so transparent in the past.
I am sorry to say this but Africans have a very uncultured and irritating mentality when it comes
to taking orders. Thanos said in the movie; THE AVENGERS: End Game and I quote, “as long as there
are those who remember what was, there will always be those who are unable to accept what can
be; they will resist” no matter how bad the situation might get, an African will still be hesitant to
reach a compromise in other to adapt to the situation at hand like: relocating from a slope prone to
landslide and building under a high voltage power line or swamp. Africans want change but none is
ready to change for change. Another of these mentality is what I call “we die together” this is
observed in the case where infected Africans in Europe flew back to their countries knowing so well
that they will infect others including family and family will chose to keep it a secret until every
member of the family is infected; pure wickedness.
Religion might play a very big role in the spread of this virus across Africa. This is due to the poor
mentality of the religious people who will want to defile the laws of nature and the state just to
prove the power of their GOD. A lot of people go around saying that their God is stronger than
coronavirus which is just a manmade virus. I am not against religion nor their believe but I am
against those poor doctrines that leaves religious people vulnerable to the flu. I wish to stress a little
bit on this point because it’s a major concern. Today Sunday 22nd of March 2020, some Christians in
Zimbabwe were forcefully and brutally sent out of their church after going against the law that was
passed by the government shutting down schools and prohibiting gatherings all over the country. Oh
Africans, who has bewitched us? To the Christians, let me bring your attention to some things in the
Bible: Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” and what are those laws?
Matthew 26:41, Watch and pray… Deuteronomy 6:16 or Matthew 4:7, you shall not put the LORD
your God to the test, as you tested him at Massah. I can go on and on but you just have to get the
point.
The health sector in most African countries as we all know is a mess. Those in charge failed and
are still failing to build, train and boost the health sector in their various countries, reason why they
fly to Europe, America and Asia for treatments and check-ups. Now with the virus outbreak, there’sa great need for a fast and effective emergency and intensive care units in all hospitals but there is
little or none. Our hospitals barely have drugs not to talk of ambulances and medical equipment.
Another thing which has always prevented things from going right in Africa is greed. Africans have tones of greed in their DNA and it’s very difficult to crush that greed and work for the benefit of
others. I am imagining a situation which we know happens, where the management of a hospital
draws a budget two times more than what is needed to prepare for any cases of coronavirus and
when the money is dispatched, they still take out money from what is really needed by the hospital.
The second part is that of the buyer, who goes in for cheap and low quality medical equipment in
other to keep the balance to himself because it is government money. Greed! Even if the community
choses to donate some money which is hard, the money still pass through the same process.
To those who believe in GOD and those who believe in science, I’m sure you all know Italy, china,
France, Spain… have gone way a long way with science but their hospitals are still filling up with
patients what more of us? We don’t even have hospitals in some places. Maybe it’s time to pray
after all “If there is a man to pray, there is a GOD to answer” right? I only hope God listens.
