TO THE TEENAGER

live a teenage without regrets

You are going to be 17 only for 365 days and you could die at 18 or 19. When your dad asks if you can help him with house work, say yes. When you get an opportunity to sleep in mom’s bed, do it because one day she will be in the hospital bed and there won’t be enough room to make up for those days you refused sleeping in her bed. Stop cancelling plans; go out there and use your legs while they can walk. Stop denying affection. You will never be able to love someone as a TEENAGER at 35 or 40. Many people are going to tell you they love you, don’t keep quiet because you have been told it’s too soon. If you love them, say so. Be brutally, beautifully/handsomely HONEST. Use the opportunities you have now to make someone smile, bless a life or two and stop trying to impress people with your looks because in 50 years, no one will remember the dress you wore or the shoe you are wearing now but someone will look back and say I remember this man made me smile even in my pains; this woman made me hope when all hope was lost. Go out and CHANGE the world; fight for PEACE,EQUALITY &CHANGE, so that when you are 70 and can only watch the news all day, you won’t see the same issues still going on while you had the chance to fight it. Stop romanticizing the {I don’t need anybody”, “I don’t have feelings”, “I am not the type of girl who just falls in love” “he/she’s not my class”, “He/she’s not from where i wish to find love”, ” I’m too busy with life to care about love“…  }attitude because it’s easier to make friends in high school and university than on retirement at home. Embrace feelings and intimacy; don’t apologies for caring and don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for caring even if it’s one sided. YOU ARE ONLY A TEENAGER FOR 2,555 DAYS and then you are 20 and starts having responsibilities, no time to love, no time to play around, work and marriage is all you think about. Life never slows down; bones become fragile and break, people die, and hearts become weak… So, what are you waiting for? Go on, message him or her. Tell her how you feel, she might snob you, he might laugh at you but after some years, you won’t regret not telling him. You won’t regret not being man enough to express yourself.

This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.

-Tyler Durden (Fight Club)
